অষ্টাধর বাজার। ময়মনসিংহের মুক্তাগাছা শহর থেকে অটোরিক্সায় প্রায় ঘণ্টাখানেক লাগে যেতে। ব্রহ্মপুত্রের বুক বেয়ে দূর-দূরান্ত থেকে লোকজন এই বাজারে আসে। বেচাকেনা করে। চা খায়। নদের পাড়ে বসে থাকে। বিড়ি-সিগারেট ফুঁকে, গল্প করে।

এখন পানি বেশ কমে গেছে। নদ সংকীর্ণ। তবু এপার-ওপারের হাজারো মানুষের জীবনকে কেমন মুখর করে রেখেছে এই নদ!
